Added data from Open Street Map

Migrated to a new server which should be able to handle the load better at peak times.

Also changed to use a new source for elevation data which should be faster and more reliable.

Integrated some stuff from the OpenStreetMap project. There are two new map views that can be selected: OpenStreetMap and OpenCycleMap. The OpenCycleMap is a topological map based on data from the OpenStreetMap project that also shows bike paths.

When using auto routing you now have the option of using data from Google or from the OpenStreetMap project. The OpenStreetMap data has the advantage that it can create routes specifically for bikes. However at the time of writing the road database isn't 100% complete and this can affect the suggested routes.

The Routing API is provided by CloudMade and is based on data from the OpenStreetMap project.

Other new features are:

  • New editing options for converting track points to course points and vice versa. This is useful when adding course points to an existing route.
  • The ability to upload TCX files as well as GPX.
